I was about to move the ladder to make it more ‘photogenic’ but then thought I could leave it in - and keep it real. We’ve realised that the spot we had the ‘trestle table of doom’ (so called because it has been such a convenient place to throw all manner of things) is the first place in the living room/kitchen to get the morning sun. Then we lugged the gorgeous @behomenz sideboard (a beautiful antique Indian screen) downstairs and put the old cane chairs from Mum and Dad’s beside it. #slowlybutsurely

Although mine still looks more like a yoga/meditation space at the moment - desk and filing cabinets, tucked away to the side, are yet to come. We’ve also swapped sides of the bed - to align with our separate spaces at each end of the house. I’m still sorting things out but am tempted to leave my fancy (second hand, which I wore with gumboots) wedding dress there instead of my towelling bathrobe.
