Sunset and storm views. Local organic food. Permaculture garden. Infrared sauna & Yoga room. One hour north of Wellington. Five minute drive from cafes, the river and beach.
Redesigned and fully renovated by Bonnifait & Giesen in late 2018. Your suite has its own entrance and easy parking, a king sized bedroom, a living room with dining table and comfortable sofa bed and a kitchenette with a bar fridge, toaster oven and hot plate. There is a large bathroom complete with a shower and a big bath and a separate toilet. You also have a wide verandah to soak in the views. You are welcome to share the yoga room, use the infrared sauna, browse the library and make use of our laundry. We serve local organic or spray free food and are happy to cater for most dietary restrictions (with notice). We welcome singles, couples and kids.

Things to do (or not)
Great restaurants. Endless beaches. Nature reserves. Walk along the river or over the hills. Or settle into the bath or sauna with a book and a beverage.
An hours drive north of Wellington, Peka Peka is at the northern end of the Kāpiti Coast. Five minutes north of Waikanae and a ten minutes south of Otaki. Bring the kids and explore the sights or have a romantic weekend away with your favourite someone. Visit the outlet shops and let someone else do the cooking at a local restaurant.
What to do? Well, if you’re a car aficionado, then the Southward Car Museum might float your boat. If a walk in nature will restore a little piece of your soul, then Peka Peka beach is five minutes down the road (depending on the time, you might even have it all to yourself!). If a walk in the bush or a swimming hole will revive you, the Waikanae River, Nga Manu Nature Reserve and the Hema Matenga tracks are all nearby.
What about chilling out? We have that covered too. Browse our ever-growing library, have a soak in the large bath, pretend you’re in the tropics in the infrared sauna or roll out a yoga matt and sink into a deep stretch.
Foodie? American BBQ at Salt & Wood for fine ribs and burgers. Long Beach for pizza and their amazing garden. Sunday Cantina and Marine Parade have delicious vegan options. 50-50 is our current favourite, fine dining with unusual locally foraged ingredients. Co-owned by Helen Turnbull who worked as chef de partie at two Michelin star restaurants in Tokyo.
